About Me

I’m Miah, a young, Black female artist who is driven by faith.

My Goals

• My ultimate goal is to pursue a career in the pre-production animation pipeline, specifically as a Visual Development artist.

My Why

• I aim to use animation as a platform to share the word of God. I create bold, character-driven visuals that celebrate identity, faith, and imagination.

Skills

• currently studying at Texas A&M University, class of 2028, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Visualization.
• proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk Maya, Unreal Engine, & graphite pencil.
• emerging my skills in concept art, character design, & storyboard.

I began taking art seriously at the age of 12, setting a personal goal to pursue an artistic career with purpose and passion. My father’s words, “If you don’t plan, you plan to fail,” became a guiding principle early on, encouraging me to approach my craft with discipline and intention.

As I grew older and discovered animation, I became captivated by the storytelling power behind each frame. That fascination sparked a deeper ambition: I wanted to explore the animation pipeline and push my artistic limits to see how far I could grow. By 15, the idea of college became real, and I began searching for a school that aligned with my dream. Texas A&M’s Visualization program stood out, not only for its national ranking in animation, but also for its location in the state I call home. I saw it as the perfect stepping stone toward a career in animation.

Today, as a young Black woman and aspiring artist, I create art that reflects identity, faith, and resilience, driven by a desire to craft narratives that inspire and connect.

Let’s collaborate, create, or just talk art.
